How to register a child for a start
You can register a child for a start right from your own account — they don’t need a separate account of their own. This article covers how to do it, what restrictions apply, and where to find your child’s list of starts afterward.
How to register a child for a start
- Open the page for the event you want and select a format.
- If that format allows children to take part, you’ll see a Register a child option among the registration choices. Select it.
- Fill out the form: the child’s last name, first name, date of birth, and gender. Club is optional.
- Check the details you entered and submit the form.
⚠️ Important. Double-check every field before submitting the form. The child’s last name, first name, and date of birth are tied to their start history and used to identify the participant, so you won’t be able to edit them yourself once they’re saved. If you do spot a mistake, contact support — they’ll fix it.
If an event’s format isn’t set up for children, you simply won’t see the Register a child option on the page.
Restrictions on registering a child
- Event format. Registering a child is only possible for formats that allow it. If the organizer hasn’t allowed children to take part, the child registration option won’t appear.
- Organizer’s age requirements. On top of the platform’s general conditions, the organizer can set their own age restrictions for a start — these are shown when you select the activity. Whether a child’s eligible age is counted as of the start date or as of the end of the year is defined by the event’s rules; check those if you’re unsure.
- Age. As of the start date, the child must be older than 1 year and no older than 14. If the child is already older than 14, you won’t be able to register them through your account — in that case, it’s better to create a separate account for them on the platform.
- Your details. Your profile must have your last name, first name, phone number, and city (location) filled in. If anything’s missing, the system will first ask you to fill it in before opening the child registration form.
💡 Tip. Registering a child under 14 through your own account is fine, and the platform allows it. But if you care about full functionality — a personal history of results and achievements for your child — it’s more convenient to set up a separate account for them down the line.
Where to see which starts your child is registered for
The list of your children’s starts isn’t in the Family section — it’s under My Events → Kids.
It shows upcoming, paid registrations for all of your children, sorted by start date. From the list, you can open the page for any specific registration.
Once a start has taken place, it moves from the Kids tab to the History tab — the Kids tab only ever shows upcoming starts.
If your child doesn’t have any registrations yet, the list will be empty — entries will appear here as soon as you register them for a start.
Managing the Family section
The Family section isn’t a list of starts — it’s a list of children’s profiles linked to your account.
Here you can:
- add a new child;
- open a child’s card and view their details;
- delete a profile.
You can’t edit a child’s details yourself — they’re tied to their start history and used to identify the participant. If you find a mistake, contact support.
You can’t delete a child’s profile if they already have paid registrations for starts — in that case, their participation history stays in the system, and the app will explain this when you try to delete it.
A child’s card also gives you access to merging duplicate profiles within your account — handy if you accidentally created the same child twice during registration — and to transferring their profile to a separate account of their own.
