How to transfer a child's history to their own account

Transferring registration and results history from a child's profile in a parent's account to a separate account the grown-up child created for themselves.

While a child registers for starts through a parent’s account, their results and participation history are kept in the child’s profile inside the parent’s account. Once the child grows up and creates their own account on the platform, that history can be transferred to them. Here’s what the parent does, and what the child does.

Why this is useful

While a child registers for starts through a parent’s account, their personal history of results and achievements is stored in the child’s profile inside the parent’s account, not in a separate account of their own.

Once the child creates their own account on the platform, that history can be transferred to them — after that, all their past and current registrations will show up in their personal profile.

If instead a parent ends up with two cards for the same child in the Family section — that’s a different situation: merging duplicate profiles within the same account. That’s a separate feature, covered in its own article.

What the parent does

  1. In the Family section, open the card for the child you need.
  2. Click Transfer.
  3. The system shows a unique transfer code — copy it using the copy icon next to the code.
  4. Pass the code to the child any way that’s convenient: read it out, send it in a message. The app doesn’t send the code automatically.

If the child’s profile doesn’t have any start registrations yet, there’s nothing to transfer — instead of a code, the system will offer to either delete the empty profile or continue anyway.

What the child does

  1. First, register a separate personal account on the platform yourself and log in — the transfer goes into an account that already exists.
  2. In your profile, open the Other section.
  3. Find the Transfer code field and paste in the code you got from your parent.
  4. Click Transfer.

What happens after the transfer

All start registrations — including ones that already took place — move to the child’s personal account and show up under My Events.

The child’s profile in the parent’s account stays empty after the transfer, with no registrations left. It isn’t deleted automatically: if you want to remove the now-duplicate profile, the parent does that manually in the Family section.

The transfer code that was used becomes invalid. To transfer again, or to do it later, the parent needs to open the child’s card again and get a new code.

Possible errors when entering the code

  • “Please fill in all required profile fields before transferring history” — the child’s own account is missing some data: last name, first name, middle name, date of birth, or gender. Fill in the profile first, then try the transfer again.
  • “The code has expired. Get a new code in the parent account” — the code was already used before, or was entered incorrectly. Ask the parent to get a fresh code.
  • “The details in this profile don’t match the history being transferred. Check the full name and date of birth” — the last name, first name, middle name, and date of birth in the child’s own account must exactly match what’s on file in the child’s profile in the parent’s account. Check and correct these fields in your profile.

If no registration history is found for the code, that’s fine — it just means the child hasn’t registered for anything yet, so there’s nothing to transfer.
