Organizing a Championship

We use the word "championship" to describe various forms of competition grouped together — a cup, festival, league system, tournament series, or even a championship of championships.

Championship

A championship is a group of events united by a common idea. Every championship has a landing page listing the events it includes and the organizers' contacts. There's no limit to the number of championships an organizer can create.

One organizer — several events

An organizer can combine their events into one or several championships, for example by grouping events by season, sport, or location. For instance, you could combine all of a year's races into one championship, or combine all annual events held in one location or country into a championship. A single event can belong to several championships, including championships organized by other organizers.

One championship — several organizers

A championship organizer can add events from different organizers to it. A championship organizer doesn't have to organize events themselves — they can put together a championship made up of other organizers' events, with their consent.

One event — several championships

An event can belong to several championships at once — for example, the organizer's current season championship, a municipal championship organized by the municipality, and a championship organized by a federation, all at the same time.
